Nestled within our own Christmas tree plantation and alongside the beautiful Kennet and Avon canal in Wootton Rivers, the award winning Towpath Tails Dog Park offers all dog owners a peaceful corner of the Wiltshire countryside where they can let their dogs off lead safely to have the fun and freedom they deserve. Towpath Tails Dog Park has an enviable position within a beautiful Wiltshire village less that 20mins from the M4 and A303, just half an hour from Stonehenge and Avebury, and 5 miles from Marlborough with local campsites and dog friendly accommodation close-by. We are also a great meet up point for puppy birthday get togethers and breed events.
Offering 2 great spaces – The Paddock is a secure 3/4 acre site with a mix of open space and agility equipment areas as well as access to the natural stream – great for exercise, recall, training and fun. While The Coppice is a secure 3 acre site with hundreds of trees enabling your dog to have a great run, lots to find, and a great space for recall and unique training. Both areas have secure access gates, 6ft deer fencing, low level rabbit fencing, and shelters for the human companions. They are separated by a walkway with additional screening. There is secure gated access to a private large car park with individual secure parking within each play area and dog-proof gates to keep your pets safe.
Whether you want to train your puppy, let your older dog have a rummage, rootle and a run, improve your dog’s recall or you have a rescue dog where you need a safe space to help you build mutual trust and their confidence – Towpath Tails Dog Park is the perfect place.
A dogs eye view – why visit?
– Sole use:- If you like to run off lead but your hoomans worry you’ll run off – they will have sole use of either the secure Paddock or the secure Coppice for you and can be sure you will be safe.
– Improving recall:- If you are a bit jumpy or reactive, or you love to wander at your own pace ignoring your hooman’s recall – this is the perfect place.
– Building trust:- If you and your hooman are still learning to trust each other – this is a great safe space to try out new things.
– Just having fun…:- Or if you simply love a fun-packed playtime with your hoomans – lots of things to sniff and some agility equipment to play with – come and play here.
